Voor heren I bleef het seizoen tot het eind aan toe spannend. De nacompetitiewedstrijden tegen Black Boys werden toch wel met enige spanning tegemoet gezien. Het seizoen was lang en slopend geweest. De laatste competitiewedstrijden werden zeker niet overtuigend afgesloten. En was Black Boys niet ‘in the winning mood’?
De opluchting was groot na de thuiswedstrijd. Overtuigend werd met 6-2 gewonnen. Hierdoor kon ontspannen toegeleefd worden naar de return. Deze werd op routine uitgespeeld. De uitslag (2-2) was genoeg om dit seizoen opnieuw in de derde klasse uit te komen. Een prestatie van formaat! Terecht dat dit naderhand in de kantine volop gevierd werd. Tijdens de veiling deze winter heeft heren I de prijs ‘panne ‘sop mei broadsjes’, beschikbaar gesteld door de familie Salverda, gekocht. Hier is in de kantine volop van genoten.
Volop reden dus om Super Sunday feestelijk te laten verlopen. En dit is, onder de fantastische leiding van Edwin Bakker, Nico Pijlman en Remco Adema opnieuw gelukt. Inmiddels voor de vierde keer heeft de Super Sunday al terecht de status ‘traditie’ verdiend. Ook dit jaar weer een zeer geslaagd evenement met veel deelnemende voetbalsters en voetballers, veel publiek, mooi weer en een supergezellige sfeer. Uitsmijter dit jaar was een team van oud-leden, die in de wedstrijd tegen F.F.S. 4 lieten zien het voetballen nog niet verleerd te zijn. Een prachtige afsluiting van een lang seizoen, waarbij de saamhorige basis voor dit seizoen gelegd is.
